Sizes 1—2 and 3 Yrs.

MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Size 9 Standard Knitting Needles
6 oz. 4-ply Knitting Worsted (4 oz. white - 2 oz. Red)

GAUGE: 4½ sts to 1 in.

Cast on 80 sts (2 and 3 yr. 88 sts). Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 16 rows as follows: * 2 rows white; 2 rows red; repeat from * 3 times. K 1 row, P 1 row, then K 1 row decreasing to 72 sts (2 and 3 yr. 80 sts) at even intervals across row. Work even in stockinette st for 7 rows. Dec. 8 sts at even intervals across next row. Repeat decreases every 8th row until 16 sts remain. K 2 tog. across row.
Draw remaining sts tog. Sew seam.
