MATERIAL:

11 skeins Bulky Wool (2 oz. skein)

1 pair knitting needles 14" long No. 13

GAUGE: 5 sts. = 2 inch.

PATTERN:

1st row: * K5, slip 5 (yarn in front of work), repeat from * across row, end K5.

2nd and all even rows: P across row.

3rd row: like 1st row.

5th row: like 1st row.

7th row: K7, * insert right hand needle under the 3 loops of the slipped rows and into the next st. on left hand needle, K st. and loops tog., K9, repeat from * across row, end K7.

9th row: K10, * slip 5 (yarn in front of work), K5 repeat from * across row, end K10.

11th row: like 9th row.

13th row: like 9th row

15th row: K12, * insert right hand needle under the 3 loops of the slipped rows and into the next st. on left hand needle, K st. and loops tog., K9 repeat from * across row, end K12.

16th row: P across row.

Repeat these 16 rows for pattern.

With No. 13 needles cast on 75 sts. and work in seed st. for 2 inch. Keep the first and last 5 sts. on needle in seed st. and work rem. 65 sts. in pattern until piece measures 30 inch. from beg. Work seed st. on 75 sts. for 2 inch. and bind off loosely K as K and P as P. Block to size.
