Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" BLEND YARN, Article 75
1 skein National Blue or any color desired.
1 skein Cerise or any contrasting color.
1 pr. each Knitting needles No. 4 and No. 6.
Steel crochet hook No. 0.

With National Blue and No. 4 needles cast on 36 sts and work in ribbing of K 2, P 2 for 2 ¼ inches. Change to No. 6 needles and K across row increasing 4 sts evenly spaced.

Next Row. * P across row.

Next Row. K across row.

Next Row. P across row then K 3 rows. Repeat from * 5 times.

Next Row. P across row.

Next Row. K 2 tog, K 16, K 2 tog twice, K 16, K 2 tog. P 1 row even.

Next Row. K 2 tog, K 14, K 2 tog twice, K 14, K 2 tog. Next 2 Rows. K across each row.

Next Row. Purl and bind off on wrong side of mitt decreasing 1 st at each end and center of row. Sew side seam and across top of mitt. With Cerise, cut lengths 4 inches long. Using crochet hook, pull 3 lengths through every st of ridge rows on palm side and tie.

With Cerise, ch 20, sl st in 2nd st from hook, 1 sl st in each remaining st of ch, cut yarn. Sew to cuff of mitt as illustrated.
