Hat & Bag Set

BAG ... Starting at center of bottom with Canary Yellow, ch 11. 1st rnd: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, 3 sc in last ch; working along oppo­site side of starting chain, make sc in each ch across. Join with sl st to first sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, sc in each sc around, increasing 3 sc evenly on each end—to inc 1 sc, make 2 sc in 1 sc. Join. 3rd to 13th rnds incl: Repeat 2nd rnd. Cut 10 strands of Canary Yellow, each 21 inches long. (More)


Hat, Bag & Collar Set

HAT ... Make a chain long enough to reach around head, having an even number of chains. Join with sl st. (This is center back.) 1st rnd: Sc in each ch around. 2nd rnd: Sc in each sc around. Repeat 2nd rnd until piece measures 3½  inches deep. Next rnd: Sc in each sc, decreasing 10 sc evenly around—to dec 1 sc, work off 2 sc as 1 sc. Following rnd: Repeat 2nd rnd. Striped Hat

Starting at center of Crown with Claret, ch 2. 1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2nd rnd: Sc in next sc, drop Claret, attach Mid Rose and, always working over unused color, make sc in same sc, * drop Mid Rose, pick up Claret, sc in next sc, change color, sc in same sc. Repeat from * around, always ending with Mid Rose sc. 3rd rnd: * Change color, 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased), change color, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. (More)


Ribbon Trim Cloche

Starting at center of crown, ch 2. 1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc). 3rd rnd: * 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased), sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. 4th to 12th rnds incl: Sc in each sc, increasing 6 sc evenly on each rnd. 13th rnd: Inc 8 sc evenly around (80 sc). 14th rnd: Sl st in next sc, ch 3, in same sc make dc, ch 1 and 2 dc (shell made); * skip 3 sc, in next sc make 2 dc, ch 1 and 2 dc. Crocheted Jacket

BACK ... Starting at lower edge with Blue Sparkle, make a chain to measure 16 (17, 18) inches. 1st row: Sc in 3rd ch from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across until row measures 14½ (15½, 16½) inches—39 (42, 45) sc and 38 (41, 44) ch-1 sps on row. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 2, turn. 2nd row: * Sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1. Braid & Buttons Trim

BRAID ... Work as for No. S-459, making one braid in each color long enough to reach around front, neck and other front of cardigan. Sew in place.

BUTTONS ... With Brown, ch 4, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make 3 dc, in 4th ch from hook, thread over and draw through all loops on hook. Break off. Tie loose ends, thus forming button. Make necessary number of buttons and sew in place. (More)


Skirt Trim

POPPY (Make 5) ... Starting at center with Black, ch 2. 1st rnd: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. 2nd rnd: Picking up front loop only, make (sc, ch 3) twice in each sc around. Join and break off. 3rd rnd: Attach White to back loop of any sc, sc in same place, *,ch 3, 2 dc in same place, 2 dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in same place, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 3. Join and break off. (More)


Ribbon Braid Trim

Starting at narrow edge, ch 4. 1st row: Dc in 4th ch from hook. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: Dc in dc. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 2nd row until piece is long enough to reach across front, around neck and other front. Break off. Now work across long side as follows: Attach thread to first sp, sc in same sp, * ch 3, sc in next sp. Repeat from * across. Break off. Complete other side the same way. (More)


Ball Fringe Trim

SCALLOPED EDGE ... Attach thread to first loop on opposite side, sc in same place, * draw loop on hook out to measure ½ inch, thread over and draw thread through, insert hook between single and double loops and draw thread through, thread over and draw through both loops on hook (knot st made), make another knot st, sc in next loop. Braid Trim

Starting at narrow edge, ch 3. 1st row: Half dc in 3rd ch from hook. Ch 3, turn. Repeat first row until piece is long enough to reach around neck of blouse. Break off. Sew in place. Make a piece for each sleeve the same way. Sew in place. Sew rhinestones as desired. (More)


Braid & Pearl Trim

WIDE BRAID (Make 2) ... Starting at narrow end, ch 2. 1st row: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: 3 sc in first sc. Ch 1, turn. Repeat 2nd row until piece reaches around lower edge of skirt. Break off. Sew Braids in place at lower edge of skirt, spacing them 8 inches apart. (More)


Sequin Trim Hat

Starting at center, ch 5. 1st rnd: 23 tr in 5th ch from hook. Join with sl st to top of starting chain (24 tr, counting starting chain as 1 tr). 2nd rnd: Ch 4, tr in same place as sl st, 2 tr in each tr around. Join (48 tr). 3rd rnd: Ch 4 (to count as tr), tr in same place as sl st, * tr in next tr, 2 tr in next tr, ch 1, tr in next tr, ch 1, 2 tr in next tr. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1. Striped Bag & Purse

SIDE PIECE ... Starting at bottom with Flamingo, make a chain 40 inches long. Join to first chain, being careful not to twist. Work over 6 strands of Rug Yam throughout. 1st rnd: Sc in each ch around. Join and break off (side of bag). Draw Rug Yarn in until rnd measures 20 inches. 2nd rnd: Attach White to same place as sl st, ch 1, sc in each sc around. Join and break off. Fold piece in half and mark sc directly opposite joining. Embroidered Bolero

BACK ... Starting at lower edge with No. 2/0 hook, chain 65. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. 2nd to 5th rows incl: Sc in each sc across. MOTIF (Make 32 each of Red and Black) ... Starting at center, ch 2. 1st rnd: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc. Hereafter pick up back loop only. 2nd rnd: Sc in first sc, 3 sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc) 3 times. Join. 3rd rnd: Sc in each sc around, making 3 sc in center sc at each corner. Knitting Patterns

Knitted Blouse

BACK ... Starting at lower edge with No. 4 knitting pins, cast on 80 (86, 90) sts. Work in ribbing of k 1, p 1, for 3 inches. Change to No. 8 knitting pins and work in garter st (k each row) until piece measures in all 11½ (12, 12½) inches. Place a marker at both ends. Continue to work in garter st until piece measures in all 17 (18, 19) inches. (More)
