Milwards “Phantom” Aluminum Knitting Pins or Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 (2½ mm. size) and 1 pair No. 3 (3 mm. size).

BAND … Starting at one short end with Natural and No. 3 knitting pins, cast on 18 sts. Work in stockinette st, making a set of buttonholes when piece measures

and every 2½ inches thereafter until 7 sets of buttonholes in all are made—to make a set of buttonholes, on a knit row, k 3, bind off 3 sts, k 6 including last st on right hand needle, bind off 3 sts, k to end of row; on next row cast on 3 sts to replace each set of the 3 sts bound off. Continue in stocki­nette st until piece reaches along Right Front edge, back neck edge and Left Front edge. Bind off.
Block to measurements. Sew up side, shoulder and sleeve seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew pockets and pocket bands in place. Fold band in half lengthwise matching buttonholes. Sew buttonholes together. Sew band around front and back neck edges, having buttonholes on Left Front edge. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
Crochet Patterns:
