Requirements:
3 Ply Nylon & Wool (fingering type) Yarn
1 pr. Size 1 Steel Knitting Needles
1 pr. Size 3 Steel Knitting Needles
1 Set Double-pointed Size 1 Steel Knitting Needle

Gauge: 8 sts to 1 inch. 10 rows to 1 inch.

BACK: With size 1 needles cast on 122 (130-138) sts. Work in K 1 P 1 ribbing for 3 inches.

Change to No. 3 needles and work in stockinette stitch (K 1 row P 1 row) increasing 1 st each side every 8 rows 5 times.

Work even until piece measures 12 (12½-13) from beginning.

At the beginning of the next two rows, bind off for armhole 6 (8-10) sts and bind off 1 stitch at the beginning of next 12 rows. Work until armhole measures 7½ (8-8).

Bind off 8 (10-12) sts at the beginning of next 8 rows for shoulder. Bind off remaining sts for back of neck.

FRONT: Work same as back until armhole measures 5½ in. Work first 40 (44-48) and place them on st holder. At neck's edge, bind off the next 24 sts and working over remaining sts decreasing one st at every other row at neck's edge until 32 (40-48) remain. Bind off for shoulder 8 (10-12).

SLEEVES: With size No. 1 needles cast on 60 (60-66) sts work in ribbing for 3 inches. Change to No. 3 needles and inc across the next row 12 (12-13). Continue to increase every 8th row 15 (17-16) times. Work until sleeves measure 18 (18½-19) ins including ribbing. Bind off 6 (8-10) at the beginning of next 2 rows. Then bind off 1 st at the beginning of every row until 56 (56- 53) remain. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of next 12 (12-10) rows, then bind off remaining sts.

NECK: Sew shoulder seams. With double pointed needles pick up 124 sts around neck. Work in ribbing for 4 inches and bind off. Sew all seams together and block to size.
