BACK: Using M C and larger needles, cast on (106-112-118-124-130) (88-94-98-104-108) sts. Omitting ribbing, finish to correspond to back of V-neck Cardigan.

LEFT FRONT: Using M C and larger needles, cast on (53-56-59-62-65) (44-47-49-52-54) sts. Work even in stockinette st for 14 inches, ending with a P row. SHAPE FULL-FASHIONED RAGLAN ARMHOLE: At the beg of the next row (arm edge) bind off (8-9-10-11-12) (5-6-7-9-9) sts, K to end of row. Row 2: Purl. Row 3: K 2, K 2 tog, K to end of row. Repeat the last 2 rows (24-25-26-27-28) (20-21-22-23-24) times more — (20-21-22-23-24) (18-19-19-19-20) sts. SHAPE NECK: At front edge bind off (7-8-9-10-11) (5-6-6-6-7) sts, P to end of row. Continue to dec 1 st at arm edge every other row in same manner as before 6 times more, and AT THE SAME TIME, at neck edge dec 1 st every other row 5 times. Bind off remaining 2 sts.

RIGHT FRONT: Work to correspond to left front, revers­ing all shaping. TO DEC FOR FULL-FASHIONED RAGLAN ARMHOLE: K to last 4 sts, sl 1, K 1, psso, K 2.

SLEEVES: Using M C and larger needles, cast on (60-60-60-62-62) (50-50-52-52-54) sts. Working in stockinette st, inc 1 st each end of needle every (1-¾-¾-¾-½) (1-1-1-¾-¾) inch (11-13-15-16-18) (9-11-12-15-15) times. Work even on (82-86-90-94-98) (68-72-76-82-84) sts until piece measures (17½-17½-18-18-18½) inches, ending with a P row. SHAPE FULL-FASHIONED RAGLAN CAP: At the beg of each of the next 2 rows bind off (8-9-10-11-12) (5-6-7-9-9) sts. Dec in same man­ner as on back. Bind off remaining 4 sts.

POCKETS: Make 2. Using M C and larger needles, cast on (28) (24) sts. Work even in stockinette st for 2½ inches, ending with a P row. SHAPE TOP: On the next row K (11) (9) sts, join another ball of yarn and bind off center 6 sts, K to end of row. Working on both sides at once at each center edge dec 1 st EVERY ROW (10) (8) times. Fasten off.

FINISHING: Sew sleeves to back and front armholes. Sew underarm and sleeve seams. EDGING: Round 1: With right side facing you and using C C, starting at left underarm seam, work in s c around entire jacket, working 3 s c in each corner st, join with sl st to first st. Round 2: Ch 2, 1 d c in same st, ch 1, * skip 1 st, y o hook and draw up a loop in next st, y o hook and draw up a loop in same st, y o hook and draw through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1, repeat from * around entire jacket, join with sl st to top of ch 2. Round 3: Ch 1, 1 s c in each st and in each ch 1 space, working 3 s c in each corner st, join with sl st to ch 1. Fasten off. Work same edging on sleeves and shaped edge of pockets. Sew pockets to fronts above first row of edging 1½ inches from each underarm seam. Steam seams. Shrinking rib­bon first, face fronts.
