MATERIALS:
Our original cardigans were knitted with Beehive Caressa and used 6 ozs. (4 and 6 yrs.—8 ozs.) (8 yrs.—10 ozs.). Some were also made with P & B Speedwell, Quick Knit Wool and used 8 ozs. (4 yrs.—8 ozs.) (6 yrs.—10 ozs.) (8 yrs.—12 ozs.). By being careful to use one or other of these two wools, you will be sure of being able to produce the tension and sizes given in the instructions. You will also need: Two No. 6 and two No. 4 Beehive Knitting Needles. 7 Buttons.

MATERIALS:
Our scarf was originally knitted with Beehive Caressa and used 6 ozs. We made another sample with P & B Speedwell, Quick Knit Wool and found that 8 ozs. were required. To knit this cosy scarf on large needles, be sure to make your choice of wool between the two given here. You will also need: Two No. 5 Beehive Knitting Needles.

MEASUREMENTS: Length 41 ins. Width 10 ins.

Tension: 4½ sts. and 6 rows = 1 inch in Stocking st. Be sure to work to this tension.

2, 4 AND 6 YEARS

MATERIALS:
This little blouse was designed for and knitted with Beehive Caressa, the original wool for "Bubble Knitting". You will need: 4 ozs. (4 yrs.—4 ozs.) (6 yrs.—6 ozs.). Two No. 4 and two No. 1 Beehive Knitting Needles. 4 Buttons.

MATERIALS:
This very practical skirt was originally knitted with P & B Superior Double Knitting, Patonised. Do be sure to use this wool in order to be certain that you will get the right tension and size as given in the instructions. You will need: 8 ozs. (4 yrs.—8 ozs.) (6 yrs.—10 ozs.) (8 yrs.—14 ozs.) (10 yrs.—16 ozs.) (12 yrs.—18 ozs.). Two No. 8 Queen Bee Knitting Needles. One Medium Crochet Hook. Length of Elastic.

MATERIALS:
Our models of this beret were knitted with P & B Superior Double Knitting, Patonised. This wool, firmly knitted as given in the instructions has the "body" needed to preserve the mushroom effect. 2 ozs. are required for sizes 2 and 4 yrs. (6 and 8 yrs.—4 ozs.). Also two No. 8 Queen Bee Knitting Needles.

HEAD SIZE: 20 to 20¾ ins. to fit 2 and 4 years. 20¾ to 21¼ ins. to fit 6 and 8 years.

Tension: 5 sts. = 1 inch and 15 rows = 2 ins. in Stocking st.

MATERIALS:

In order to be sure of satisfactory results from your knitting, be careful to use only this wool. You will need: 10 ozs. (10 and 12 yrs.—12 ozs.). Two No. 10 and two No. 8 Queen Bee Knitting Needles. One 12-inch "Zipper" Fastener.

Medium Size

MATERIALS: Chadwick's Red Heart Baby Wool, 8 balls (¾ oz. balls) of Pink … Clark's O.N.T. Aluminum or Plastic Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 3 (3 mm. size) and 1 pair No. 8 (3 mm. size) … Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 13 … 3¾ yards of ½ ribbon.

GAUGE: No. 13 needles: 4 sts make 1 inch; 3 ridges make 1 inch. No. 3 needles: 13 sts make 2 inches; 8 ridges make 1 inch.

Afghan measures 50 x 64 inches.

CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, Art. E.232: 19 skeins (1 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins) of No. 360 Wood Brown; 5 skeins of No. 253 Tangerine and 3 skeins of No. 676 Emerald.

Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 5 (3¾ mm. size).
