Knitted Edgings, Decorative for Pillow Cases, Towels, Baby Blankets and Spreads. For fine lace use American Thread Company "Silkine" "Star" or "Gem" Mercerized Crochet Cotton sizes 5 to 30, White or Colors.

For a heavier lace use—

"Silkine" Pearl Cotton size 3 or 5. White or Colors. "De Luxe" Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, White or Colors or "Star" Crochet Cord, White or Colors.

Cast on 9 sts.

1st Row. Sl 1 (over, 2 tog), 3 times; thread over 4 times, K 2, turn.

2nd Row. K 3 (p 1, K 1, P 1 in the loop made by putting thread over 4 times), K 1, over twice, P 2 tog (over, P 2 together), twice, turn.

3rd, 5th and 7th Rows. Sl 1 (over, 2 tog), 3 times; knit 6.

4th and 6th Rows. K 7, over twice, P 2 tog (over P 2 tog), twice, turn.

8th Row. Bind off 4, K 2, over twice, P 2 tog (over, P 2 tog), twice, turn.

Repeat from 1st row.
