Sweet Twosome Jumper Pattern

The mother-and-daughter jumper that’s cute enough for two! Practical and warm for victory-gardening, pretty enough to live in all winter long.

Materials:
CHADWICK’S RED HEART SWEATER WOOL (1 oz. balls)
FOR DAUGHTER
SIZE 4 — 7 balls of main color.
SIZE 6 — 8 balls of main color.
SIZE 8 — 10 balls of main color.
SIZE 10 — 12 balls of main color.
FOR MOTHER
SIZE 12 — 15 balls of main color.
SIZE 14 — 16 balls of main color.
SIZE 16 — 18 balls of main color.
SIZE 18 — 20 balls of main color.
1 ball of contrasting color for each size.
21-inch circular knitting needles No. 3 and No 5.
Steel crochet hook No. 1.
Elastic to fit waist.
4 small buttons.

Block jumper to measurements given. With main color work 1 row of sc around bottom of skirt and top of bodice. With contrasting color, work sc in each st around. With main color work sc in one st and dc in next st alternately around. Fasten off. With contrasting color embroider bodice as in illustration, using long and short, and outline stitches. Press with hot iron through damp cloth. Sew 2 buttons at each side of front of bodice for straps (on inside). Button straps onto buttons, then sew other ends of straps to back, adjusting to proper length.

If desired, work casing for elastic at inside of waistband as follows: Sl st at center of waistband, * ch 4, sl st in 4th st to the left slightly below previous sl st, ch 4, sl st in 4th st to the left slightly above previous sl st. Repeat from * around. Join and fasten off.
