BLOUSE: Starting at neck with No. 2 Needle and White, cast on 101 sts. Working back and forth for entire yoke, knit 6 rows, then work 1 pattern. Join Red and work 1 increasing pattern. Work 1 pattern in White, work 1 increasing pattern in Blue, knitting the last 2 sts. of the 4th row tog. Work 1 pattern in White, 1 in Red, 1 in White, then 1 increasing pattern in Blue, knitting 2 sts. tog. at the beginning and end of 4th row. Change to No. 3 Steel Needle and work 1 pattern in White, 1 in Red, 1 in White, then 1 increasing pattern in Blue, knitting every 14th and 15th sts. tog. across 4th row. Work 1 pattern in White, 1 in Red, 1 in White, 1 in Blue. Repeat last four patterns.

Join sts. and with White work in plain knitting. Working from joining (center back) K. 44, increase in next st., put a marker on needle, increase in next st., K. 50 (sleeve), increase in next st., put a marker on needle, increase in next st., K. 97 (front), increase in next st., put a marker on needle, increase in next st., K. 50 (sleeve), increase in next st., put marker on needle, increase in next St., K. 44. Increase in this manner 1 st. each side of each of the 4 markers, every other row until there are 137 sts. on the front between markers, 90 sts. on each sleeve between markers, 128 sts. on back between markers.

Place all sts. on a st. holder except the sts. of right sleeve. Working back and forth in Stockinette St. on these 90 sts., increase 1 st. each side every 1½ inches 8 times. When work measures 14 inches from separation, K. 2 sts. tog. across row. Then work even in pattern for 5 inches, using same alternation of colors as yoke. Change to White and Stockinette St. and increase 1 st. in each st. across row (106 sts. on needle). Work even in Stockinette St. for 1 inch, bind off.

Pick up sts. of left sleeve from st. holder and work same as right sleeve.

Pick up the 265 sts. remaining on st. holder. Join. Working around in plain knitting, work even for 8 inches, bind off. Work beading at bottom of blouse for elastic.
