Soaker No. 2176 Pattern

SIZE—Infant.

MATERIALS—SPINNERIN PILGRIM 2 skeins; 1 pair Knitting Nee­dles No. 3; 1 pair Knitting Needles No. 5.

GAUGE—6 sts. = 1 inch. 12 rows = 1 inch. Accurate gauge is essential.

PATTERN—Garter Stitch (knit every row). Waist Band—Ribbing of K2, P2.

Using No. 3 needles, cast on 64 sts. Work in ribbing of K2, P2 for 4 rows. *K2, YO, P2 tog., repeat from * across row. Work in ribbing of K2, P2 for 4 rows. Change to No. 5 needles and work in garter st., until work measures 7½ inches from beg. At the beg. of each of the next 8 rows, bind off 6 sts., (16 sts. on needle). Work 6 rows even. At the beg. of each of the next 8 rows, cast on 6 sts., (64 sts. on needle). Finish to correspond with back of soakers.

FINISHING—Sew side seams. Work 1 row of S. C. around each leg opening. Make a twisted cord and draw through beading at waist. Sew tassels to ends of tie.
