Repeating these 8 rows of cable pattern, work buttonhole as follows when measurement from lower edge is (end at edge of front border)	1 in	2 in	1 ½ in

Bind off 24 sts. Finishing—Sew side edges of pocket linings to wrong side. Sew underarm and sleeve seams. Sew shoulder sts of fronts to same number of sts on each side of back leaving 30 sts for back of neck. Sew in sleeves with seam at center underarm. Turn back 7 sts on each front edge and hem, matching buttonholes. Finish buttonholes, working through both thicknesses. Work 2 rows sc on lower edge of sweater and on neck edge, working first row from right side and through both thicknesses of hem and pockets, keeping work flat. Work 1 row sc on top edge of pockets. Steam.
