Work over the last 57 (58, 60) sts only as follows: 1st row: Knit across to last 9 sts, (k 1, p 1) 4 times; then k 1. 2nd row: (K 1, p 1) 4 times; then k 1, purl across. Repeat the last 2 rows alternately until piece measures from first row of armhole shaping, ending at armhole edge 8 (8, 8½) inches.
