Jack Frost Sport Yarn
Main Color—6 2-oz. Balls; Contrasting Color—1 2-oz. Ball

BACK: With Main Color and No. 2 Needles cast on 99 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 3 in. P 1 row increasing to 114 sts. Change to No. 4 Needles and work even in stockinette st until piece measures 12½ in. from lower edge. Bind off 5 sts at begin­ning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 8 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 8 rows for shoulders. Change to No. 2 Needles increasing to 35 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work as given for back until piece measures 5 in. from lower edge, then work in pattern as on chart, being sure to twist yarns when changing colors, until piece measures 12½  in. from lower edge. Bind off 5 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm, then following pattern, decrease 1 st at each end every other row 8 times. Work even until piece measures 5 in. from underarm. Work over 33 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 22 sts for front of neck. On remaining 33 sts, decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 5 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 7 sts every other row 4 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles on right side of gar­ment, pick up 75 sts from end to end of neckband. Work in rib­bing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.

SLEEVES: With No. 2 Needles and main color, cast on 47 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 3 in. Change to No. 4 Needles and P 1 row increasing to 57 sts. Work in stockinette st increas­ing 1 st at each end on the 5th and every 8th row thereafter to 81 sts. Work even until piece measures 18 in. from lower edge. Bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 7 times, then every 4th row 3 times. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of every row until 19 sts remain. Bind off remaining sts.

Sew shoulder and underarm seams. Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
