Jack Frost Fingering Fleece—4 1-oz. Balls

BACK: With No. 2 Needles cast on 99 sts. Work as given for Pullover Pattern until piece measures 10 in. from lower edge. Bind off 8 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm, then 2 sts at beginning of each of next 12 rows. Work even until piece measures 8½ in. from underarm. Bind off 5 sts at be­ginning of each of next 10 rows. Change to No. 2 Needles in­creasing to 39 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 8 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work same as given for back until piece measures 6 in. from first bound off sts at underarm. Work over 31 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 24 sts for front of neck. On remaining 31 sts, work 2 rows even; decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 6 times. Work even until piece measures 8½ in. from first bound off sts at underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 5 sts every other row 5 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles on right side of garment, pick up 81 sts from shoulder to shoulder. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 8 rows. Bind off. Sew shoulder seams.

ARMHOLE BANDS: With No. 2 Needles on right side of garment, pick up 166 sts from end to end of armhole. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 8 rows. Bind off.

Sew underarm seams.
